גלריה כברי - גלריה שיתופית יהודית ערבית בגליל, נסגרה אמנם בתקופת המלחמה בשל קרבתה לגבול הצפון, אך פעילותה נמשכה כשתערוכות אמני הגלריה התארחו במוזיאון וילפריד ישראל בקיבוץ הזורע ובגלריה גבעת חביבה. בינואר 2026 תתארח גלריה שיתופית כברי בגלריה אלפרד - מכון שיתופי לאמנות ותרבות בתל אביב.

פעולת "הכנסת אורחים" נוגעת בשאלות של אתיקה, פילוסופיה, מוסר ותרבות. יש בפעולה זו אי-ודאות, סכנה, חששות, יחסי כוחות ומפגש. סוגיות אלו הן חלק משגרת עבודה ומשיחות המתנהלות בין אמני הגלריה השיתופית הערבים והיהודים. מי מארח את מי? מהי השותפות? הכנסת אורחים היא מפגש בין־תרבותי, שבו מתרחשת פגישה עם "האחר". היא מתרחשת על הסף, על הדלת, על הגבול. שם, בהכנסת אורחים (Hospitality), קיימת גם סכנה שתתפתח עוינות (Hostility), אך יש בה גם הזדמנות. כמו שכתב ז'אק דרידה (Derrida): "מעשה של הכנסת אורחים אינו יכול להיות אלא פואטי".

התערוכה "מתארחים" מציגה תעודת זהות של הגלריה השיתופית כברי. מוצגות בה עבודות וידאו, פיסול, צילום, ציור והדפס של חמישה עשר אמנים, הדבקים באמונה כי אפשר לגשר על פערים ומחלוקות דרך שפת האמנות. נוסף על העבודות מוצג בתערוכה סרט חדש ובו שיחות של האמנים בנושא השותפות.

גלריה כברי היא הגלריה הראשונה בתנועה הקיבוצית. הקימו אותה בשנת 1977 הפסל יחיאל שמי וחברים נוספים מן הקיבוץ. החל משנת 2012 הגלריה פועלת כגלריה שיתופית יהודית ערבית – היחידה מסוגה בארץ ובעולם. הגלריה היא בית ובמה לאמנים מן הגליל, ופועלת לקידום חיים משותפים. כברי הוא קיבוץ המזוהה עם האמנות הפלסטית, ברוחם של האמנים אורי ריזמן ויחיאל שמי שהשאירו בו את חותמם.
גלריה אלפרד שמחה לארח את גלריה שיתופית כברי במסגרת שנת התערוכות איך נצא מזה עכשיו ובכך מכריזה כי הדרך "לצאת מזה", מן הסבך שנלכדנו בו, הוא דרך היחד, דרך אחווה וסולידריות.

Kabri Gallery is a Jewish-Arab cooperative gallery in the Galilee. It was closed during the war due to its proximity to the northern border; however, its activities continued by means of exhibitions for the gallery’s artists hosted at the Wilfrid Israel Museum at Kibbutz HaZorea and at the Givat Haviva Gallery. In January 2026, the Kabri Cooperative Gallery will be hosted at the Alfred Gallery, which is a cooperative institute for art and culture in Tel Aviv.
The act of “hospitality” touches on questions of ethics, philosophy, morality, and culture. It involves uncertainty, danger, anxiety, power relations, and encounter. These issues are part of the daily work routine at the gallery and the conversations that take place between its Arab and Jewish artists. Who is hosting whom? What does partnership mean? Hospitality is an intercultural encounter that takes place on the threshold, at the door, at the border, and at the transition point. It is there that an encounter with the “other” occurs. In hospitality, there is also the danger that hostility may emerge, yet there is also an opportunity as well. As Jacques Derrida wrote: “An act of hospitality can only be poetic”
The “Hosted” exhibition is an identity card for the Kabri Cooperative Gallery. It features video works, sculpture, photography, painting, and prints by fifteen artists who hold fast to the belief that gaps and disputes can be eliminated through the language of art. In addition to the artwork, the exhibition presents a new film featuring conversations among the artists on the subject of partnership
Kabri Gallery was the first gallery in the kibbutz movement. It was founded in 1977 by the sculptor Yehiel Shemi and other members of the kibbutz. Since 2012, the gallery has operated as a Jewish-Arab cooperative gallery – the only one of its kind in Israel and worldwide. The gallery serves as a home and a platform for artists from the Galilee and for works that promote shared living. Kabri is a kibbutz identified with the visual arts, in the spirit of the artists Uri Rizman and Yehiel Shemi who left their mark on the kibbutz
